CHANSON MALAISE
The old-heads are drinking;
the new-heads are junking;
quick, quick, quack, quack,
who is thinking?
The cash is consistent,
the cliché rewarding;
we live in good times
of honest retarding.
What's left to blame
if murderers seem cute?
When everybody laughs
it must be a joke.
